Yasemin Kaya

“The best way to learn a language is to be in the country where it is spoken.”

Born in Istanbul in 1982, Yasemin Kaya graduated from Istanbul University’s Department of American Culture and Literature in 2004. During her final two semesters, she completed her teacher training certification at Hasan Ali Yücel Faculty of Education and began her career as an English teacher immediately after graduating.

Starting at the Ministry of National Education in 2004, she later worked at numerous private institutions. Having taught English through private lessons to countless students of all ages and levels, she decided to take her expertise to the next professional stage and founded Sishire Overseas Education Consultancy. With the belief that “the most effective way to speak a language is to live where it is spoken,” she set out to guide students through their international education experiences.

In the summers of 2022 and 2023, she personally accompanied student groups to language schools in the UK. Aiming to become directly involved in the education systems of the world’s leading countries—especially the United Kingdom—and to take her place among the industry’s top institutions, she moved to London in September 2023. She completed her MBA with Leadership at the University of the West of Scotland, London Campus. Alongside her degree, she continues to attend various trainings and seminars.

İki kızımı göndermeye karar verdiğimde biraz tedirgindim. Başvuru işlemlerini kolayca hallettiler. Bizden istedikleri belgeleri tamamlama konusunda oldukça yardımcı oldular. Londra'ya gitmeden önce öğretmenleri ev ortamında çocuklarla sohbet edip onları tanımaya çalıştı. Havaalanına gittiğimizde Yasemin hanım orada önceden hazır bulunuyordu. Çocuklar daha önce öğretmenleriyle tanışmış olmanın rahatlığıyla kendilerini güvende hisettiler. Yaptıkları tüm aktivitelerden anında haberdar ediliyorduk. Programlarında hayatlarında ilk defa yaptıkları ve bunu başarabildikleri aktiviteler mevcuttu. Özgüvenleri gelişti, İngilizceleri akıcılaştı, kendilerini başka bir dilde de rahatça ifade edebildiler, dünyanın farklı ülkelerinden arkadaşları oldu. Çoğu ile hala aktif olarak konuşuyorlar. Tüm bu anlarını fotoğraflayan, bizi özledikleri zamanlarda anne şefkatiyle onları saranYasemin hanıma çok teşekkür ederiz. Bu sene ikinci defa gitmeye hazırlanıyorlar.
